This red brick home was built in 1882, making it younger than some of its neighboring structures by a few decades. The two-story house is a classic example of the Federal style found throughoutFrederick and specifically on Church Street. With a narrow front door painted green and one large single hung window on the first floor and two smaller windows of the same style on the second, it is evident of the simple yet purposeful construction of this home. Golden colored trim around the front door, windows, and lining of the roof adds to the curb appeal. Though it may not seem to stand out along the street, by looking at the different aspects of the home one can gain a much greater understanding of the architectural style that dominated Frederick in the 19th century.
