238 East Church Street resembles, in many ways other structures on Church Street, in particular 231 East Church Street. This two story brick residence features an six panel door topped by a transom window and fronted by a stoop and metal rails. To the west of the entrance are two over two windows with simple headers and sills and louvered shutters. Below the windows is the entrance to the basement. Three smaller windows, identical in form to the first floor line the second floor of the facade. Like 231, two six over six dormer windows topped with triangular pediments pierce the metal gabled roof. A chimney marks a separation between 238 and 236 next door.
