Scientific Name: Ulmus americana
Summary: This tree is typically found in rich and moist soils, usually along streams, this one is found in my backyard. It is not too tall yet but will grow to be a rather tall tree. It is a very tough and hard wood and has rounded leaves that are coarsely toothed. I picked this tree because it is one of the more rare trees since most elms were wiped out because of the Dutch Elm disease.
