Bethel Missionary Baptist Church

Bethel Missionary Baptist Church is the second of four churches on the Heritage Center walking tour. Bethel was first organized in 1911 with Reverend C.J. Smith. Located on Welbourne Ave between Pennsylvania Ave and Virgina Ave, this church is known as the "little red church". The current reverand of the church is Rev. Tyron Browder. The church is historically an African-American church for the community of Winter Park and encourages the entire surrounding community to take part in activities and events.
