Common Hawthorn

Lincoln, Maine 04457, United States

Created By: Unity College

Information

Scientific Name: Crataegus monogyna

Summary: This is a tree that is normally found in Europe and Asia, however, this one was found in front of a dentist's office. It has white flowers in the warmer months that then become dark red berries. The leaves are small and light green and have four lobes on them. I picked this one because I like the berries and the fact that it can be used for medicinal purposes.
