Sponsor Hagood Community Center Fiber Arts Program
This spectacular quilt is done in red, white, and blue, with four eagles and medallions of stars and tassels in celebration of the four Presidents of this nation from Virginia – George Washington, James Madison, James Monroe, and Thomas Jefferson.
Two replicas of this quilt are displayed at the Hagood Community Center. The Center is the current curator of this and several other of Mrs. Granger’s quilts as well as some of her artistic works and lace artifacts. They are displayed in this building built in 1929 as the Pickens Mill School for the children whose parents worked at the Mill.
