Hiram Smith Annex (built 1910) adjacent to the Hiram Smith was designed to alleviate the crowding in the agriculture long courses. It was designed to support dairy related course. The dairy program outgrew their space and moved to Babcock Hall in 1953. The annex was remodeled for Veterinary Science which moved to their new building on Linden Drive in 1962. Poultry Science outgrew their space in a house on University Avenue and moved into the annex. When Animal Sciences building was completed in 1969, Poultry Science had a new home. At this time Soils Science needed additional space and moved some of their programs into the annex. Soils web site - www.soils.wisc.edu
