John Tolson House, 3001 Garfield Street; 1849.A small, one and one-half story house, it is an example of early vernacular architecture in Lyons. The original construction was of one room with loft. Additions to the north and east expanded the house and a porch was added but has now been removed. The exterior walls are nor covered with stucco.
