Here we see a seasonal swamp that is renowned for the presence of wood duck, undoubtedly one of the most beautiful waterfowl present in our region.
This swampy area features many Silver maple (Acer saccharinum) and red maple (Acer rubra) trees which can tolerate these swampy conditions. There are also rarer plants such as Hackberry (Celtis occidentalis) which are considered rare and vulnerable in Quebec.
