Mt. Pleasant Park/Mississippi Valley Spiritualist Association; Mt. Pleasant Park (access from South Bluff Boulevard); 1882. A large tract with many small cottages of various styles, materials, and ages, the property if the home of the Mississippi Valley Spiritualist Association. The site is a hilly and tree-studded landscape. Numerous small cottages line the narrow, quaint lanes that loop vaguely through, up, and down the site. Mt. Pleasant Park is a district of distinct place and setting. The park was the site for a Chautauqua that started 1883 and convened every season for many years.
