Typically, the display shows content related to the opening and closing bell for the NASDAQ market. Otherwise, it is sold (advertising) and operated in conjunction with the Thomson Reuters Display across the street.

Notice how the custom content designs usually have to take into account the missing sections of displays where the windows are. Some content creations overcome this challenge better than others.
