Star within a Star is an elaboration of a traditional “long-legged” nine-patch star, with additional radiating points and a smaller star tucked in the middle. Such variations demonstrate the way quilt makers have continued to create new designs based on familiar prototypes. Jenny is a prolific quilter, and her work is distinguished by the vibrancy of its color and design improvisations.

The main branch in Walhalla is open Monday through Friday, 9-6, and Saturdays, 9-1.
