Glidden Final Project - Trees of Concord New Hampshire

Oriental Bittersweet

Concord, New Hampshire 03301, United States

Created By: Hayley

Information

Celastrus orbiculatus

Description: This was found by Sewalls Falls. These grow in grasslands, open woods, woodland edges, close-canopy forests, roadsides, and fences. They prefer loam, sand, and silt.

Rationale: This is a very cool vining plant that is climbing up a fence on the path. Its bright leaves really stood out to me.
