Philip Deeds Property/David Joyce Property, 2202 McKinley Street; c. 1860. A two-story brick house with basement, it has a gable roof with a chimney at each end gable. A full-width front porch has been replaced with a small entry porch. With symmetry and simplicity of composition, the design of the house appears to have been influenced by the American Federal Style as well as Germanic-influenced vernacular construction (examples of which are in other river cities such as St. Louis).
