Scientific Name: Prunus pensylvanica
Summary: This tree is found throughout Maine, this one, in particular, is found in a ditch in front of my house. The pin cherry has dark red-brown bark and long leaves that are rounded then narrows out. In the warmer months, they have small red bright red fruits and the things are slender and red. I picked this tree because it is an interesting little tree and I have not seen many others around.
