Robert Rand House, 2219 Garfield Street; 1867.The house is of simple vernacular style with some evidence of style influence of the Italianate and the earlier Federal Styles. Built for a banker, the house has a good sense of human scale and warmth. This is achieved by use of simple forms, and the color and texture of the old brick.
