Silas Gardiner House, 2700 North 2nd Street; c. 1880.A large, frame house of eclectic design, it was the home of Silas Gardiner, one of the lumber barons of Lyons and Clinton. The house has influences of the Queen Anne and Tudor Gothic Styles. The upper story has been resided and other alterations include; the addition of a porch across the front, cutback of the roof above the entry door, and rebuilding of the roof eave.
