Stone Lookout Tower, Eagle Point Park; 1937; WPA.This stone lookout tower is circular in plan. Lancet windows pierce the outside wall to permit natural light into the winding stair on the interior. Designed and built by WPA, the tower is a romantic architectural element and a major landmark in Eagle Point Park. The design of the tower seems to have been inspired by Norman fortress architecture.
