Information

The Godwin family planted this orchard in 1969. Here we see three or four trees, and the sign that tells us info about the orchard. Our favorite part is the part that says we can take some fruit; right off the trees that are in the orchard! This is the fruit that fed the family so well for so long, meaning that they only had to go to the store if the fruit wasn't ripe yet, or if they needed food that they didn't grow in their gardens. As the sign says: you shouldn't take lots; it's not just your orchard- it’s everybody’s! Anyone who comes can take some, so you obviously shouldn't take more than 2 fruits total per week.

If you only have time to come in fall or winter, try to find time in summer,
because there isn't really any good fruit in the winter!
