Information

Welcome back to the pond at Godwin Park. This pond is an amazing habitat for fish, birds, and other small animals. You might be surprised to know that this pond was made by the Godwins when they used to own this property. They started construction on the pond in 1974 and ended in December 1975. Mr. Godwin also planted all the trees around the pond. If you read the sign in front of you, you will learn about how the Godwins used this pond and what other species of animals call this pond their home. Look for birds and animals who call this pond their home. You might even see frogs, but we warn you, these species are not native to the pond, and in fact can hurt the diversity of this environment.
