Welcome to the beautiful Godwin Farm Biodiversity Preserve! Tom and Elaine Godwin and their four sons spent forty-five years putting a lot of care and attention into this land. In 2015 the Godwin family donated 26 acres of their land to the city of Surrey. On this sign, you can read about the history of the farm and see a map of the park. This park is classified as a Biodiversity Preserve. Many plants, animals, and birds live, grow and thrive here, each relying on the other for survival. We encourage you to read the whole sign to learn even more about Godwin Park and its history, before walking its trails.
David Godwin said, “I'd like to think people would use it as an inspiration... We could've done nothing without this place.” We would like to invite you to take a look at the other side of this sign as well. Here you can read about all the opportunities to work, volunteer, and help keep this park beautiful so that you can be an inspiration as well.
