Turntable

Mount Eliza, Victoria 3930, Australia

Created By: Mornington Railway Preservation Socicety Inc.

Information

This 70ft turntable has yet to be installed, was relocated by road from Deniliquin, NSW to Moorooduc in July 2015. It was originally installed at Inglewood Victoria but had been re-located to Deniliquin by the local Rotary Club as a park feature.

Whilst a 50ft turntable would meet the needs to turn the K series locomotives, it has always been planned to accomodate larger visiting R class locomotives from Steamrail. The track back to baxter and the level crossings require extensive and expsensive work before this can happen.

MRPS is in the throws of planning the installation of this turntable which will probably be next to the boundry with Moorooduc Highway opposite the Coolstores.
