Welbourne Ave Nursery

The Welbourne Avenue Nursery and Kindergarten was founded in 1927 with an enriching mission statement stating, “to serve culturally diverse families by providing high quality education and affordable childcare in a loving, safe, and nurturing environment.” The nursery school is located in Hannibal Square, “providing affordable, quality childcare for working families." Since opening ninety years ago, they have played a role in offering early childhood education for 10,000 students. Welbourne Avenue Nursery and Kindergarten instated a unique collaborative program, recognizing that “in 2011, with partnership with the Winter Park Health Foundation and Nemours, teaching children healthy habits to combat childhood obesity, through early childhood education.”
