Barbara Healy's paintings reflect quiet in a complicated life. Oil paintings are inspired by the diverse colors of light, atmosphere, and nature in the coastal landscape where she lives, capturing a sense of place. Brushstrokes over glimpses of color intentionally reveal some of the process, making an illusion but not hiding that it is made of paint.
