In recent years, researchers have found that time spent in nature can have positive effects on emotional, mental, and physical well-being. It's not just about the beauty of nature; it's something our bodies truly need.

Spending time in forested areas for the purpose of enhancing health, wellbeing and happiness has been practiced in many areas of the world for centuries. In Japan it is referred to as ‘Shinrin-yoku’, which translates as “Forest Bath”.

Explore Sholom Park’s nature-bathing trail guide, which provides a variety of nature-centered practices to experience in various locations throughout the park. Each activity's designated area is clearly marked on the map. The goal is to unwind and harmonize with the natural environment, utilizing all senses to connect deeply with nature, noticing body sensations, and unlock the advantages for well-being that a stronger nature connection can offer. Take your time navigating the trail, trying out activities that resonate with you and skip those that don't. Feel free to pause the recording whenever you feel the need to fully immerse yourself in the exercise.
