ARCHITECTURE/ HISTORY
The Ohio Theatre opened October 4, 1938, rebuilt in the location of the Little Grand Theatre that had burnt down the year prior. It is currently owned by the volunteer based non-profit group "Friends of the Ohio Theatre" who hope to restore the theater to it's glory! The theatre now runs classic films, hosts concerts and plays. The marque can also be rented for personal messages.
As of Thursday, June 28, 2018 the theater experienced an electrical fire that took a portion of the roof, causing the theatre to be closed indefinately until repairs are made. The group "Friends of the Ohio Theatre" are accepting donations for the repairs. Check out their Facebook page to here about progress and any upcoming events.
